Strengthening the bridge between education and industry, Equator College has formalised a strategic partnership with Dee Noon Corporation Sdn Bhd and Chatgate Communication Sdn Bhd. This collaboration enhances academic-industry connections to provide students with direct industry exposure, practical real-world experience, and valuable professional insights. By working closely with corporate partners, the initiative aims to foster creative collaboration, nurture emerging talent, and prepare graduates to excel as future-ready professionals.

Equator College recently hosted the launch of Creative City as an Urban Development Strategy: The Case of Selected Malaysian Cities, a new publication co-authored by Assoc. Prof. TPr Dr. Khoo Suet Leng (USM) and Dr. Nicole Chang Shu Fun (Equator College). Officiated by Penang State EXCO YB Wong Hon Wai, the launch brought together prominent industry voices—including Penang State Art Gallery Chairman Lee Khai and Penang Arts Council Chairman Joe Sidek—to discuss the evolving role of the creative economy in Malaysian cities.

The “Interior Design & Fashion Design Graduation Showcase” featured final-year student projects from both disciplines. The event celebrated creativity, skills, and achievements through a variety of innovative design works.
