EQUATOR COLLEGE
Programme Overview
The Certificate in Art and Design aims to provide a solid foundation for students to learn and explore creatively and innovatively. The programme encourages visual awareness and artistic expressions.
Students hone their skills in drawing, photography, printmaking, and basic computer graphic. They are also introduced to colour studies, dimensional studies, and art theory. The fundamental knowledge and abilities cultivated in this programme pave the way for further study in art and design Diploma programmes offered by Equator College: Graphic Intermedia Design, Interior Design, Architectural Technology, Fashion Design Technology, Fine Art, and Digital 3D Animation.
Malaysian Students
- Pass SPM / UEC / IGCSE / ‘O’ level with 1 credit; OR
- Any other equivalent qualification recognised by the Malaysian Government.
International Students
International students can refer to the International Qualification Equivalency for International Students to Enter Higher Learning Institutions website prescribed by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) to ensure that the qualification is comparable to the entry requirements set by the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia.
*Note: All candidates are subject to pass a drawing test / portfolio assessment conducted by Equator College to determine their suitability for the course. Applicants are also required to demonstrate proficiency in English, a pass in SPM / IGCSE / O-Levels English or have studied subjects that require a satisfactory level in English. All design students are required to have a laptop by the start of Semester 2 in their studies.
