Equator College was honoured to host delegates from the China University of Technology (CUTe), Taiwan, for the Opening Ceremony and Exhibition Showcase of the University Social Responsibility (USR) Programme. This international collaboration between CUTe, Equator College, TAR UMT, and the Penang Heritage Trust brings together our Architectural Technology, Graphic & Intermedia Design, and Digital 3D Animation students. Together, they are documenting and revitalising the unique heritage fabric of Teluk Kumbar, Penang. Through creative displays and cultural exchange, this initiative opens exciting global learning opportunities for our young creatives.

A meaningful step toward global academic synergy! Equator College was proud to host the academic delegation from the Faculty of Architecture and Creative Arts, Rajamangala University of Technology Isan (RMUTI). Led by Associate Professor Dr Nikhom Boonyanusith, Dean, Faculty of Architecture and Creative Arts, the visit and engagement are aimed at fostering meaningful academic collaboration between Equator College and RMUTI. Both institutions presented and exchanged ideas for future collaborations. The visitation ended by touring Equator College’s Final-Year Showcase.

Equator College students recently gathered for an exclusive MDX Talk featuring Penang-born Jia Tan, Creative Technologist and AI-Assisted Art Director at Riot Games. As a leader of global design teams, Jia shared his groundbreaking experience on building worlds with AI and its evolving role in the creative industry. Through this highly interactive session, our students gained firsthand insights into the future of technology-driven artistry.

Equator College continues to nurture award-winning talent! Discover how our Fashion Technology alumni and students stood out at the national My Footwear Design Competition (MyFDC 2026), featuring 1st Prize winner Chew Jeff Yeong and our brilliant finalists, Darshanaa and Joanne (Ng Wei).

We were absolutely delighted to host the students from SMK Saint Xavier for an immersive look into creative education! The students got a firsthand look at our vibrant campus life, exploring our Final Year Students' Showcase and engaging with incredible student artworks.

True architecture respects history. Our students recently participated in a Conservation Architect workshop, where they focused on the discipline of measured drawing. Conducted by Ar. Ooi Bok Kim & Ms Loo Yee Pei (which is also Equator’s alumni) from B K Ooi Architect, this workshop enable Equator students to learn the processes and methods used in real-life conservation practice.
