Moving beyond the theory of the classroom, our Fashion Department embarked on a 2-day study trip to Kuala Lumpur for an immersive, hands-on exploration of textiles. Students gained firsthand experience in how fabric selection dictates the design, structure, and overall creative process. Fabric isn't just a material; it is the foundational spark that inspires an entire collection. This trip empowered our students to bridge the gap between conceptual design and industry-standard production.

Exploring the heart of Malaysia’s animation industry, our students embarked on a 2-day visit to Lemon Sky Studios, Flystudio, and Anima Vitae. This immersive experience allowed students to learn firsthand from industry professionals, providing valuable insights into real-world production pipelines. A massive thank you to our hosts for fueling the creativity of Equator’s future animators!

Our students stepped into the world of traditional shadows in an exclusive workshop led by a master practitioner in the field. This immersive session moved beyond theory, offering a rare opportunity to hear directly from an expert and gain hands-on experience with the intricate craftsmanship and storytelling techniques of Wayang Kulit.

Unlocking the World of 3D Animation! Our lecturer, Mr. Jason, shared his passion and expertise with the students at SMJK Convent Datuk Keramat! The session ended with a lively Q&A + surprise gifts, leaving students inspired and dreaming bigger than ever.

Georgetown became a living classroom as our students embarked on a curated heritage trail. From iconic colonial landmarks to hidden architectural gems, the outing provided a deep dive into the diverse structures, traditional materials, and unique urban layouts that define our city’s history. This immersive experience allowed students to witness firsthand the evolution of Malaysian architecture.


The AYDA Briefing introduced students to the competition details, including themes and submission requirements. The session encouraged creative exploration and participation in the AYDA Awards.

Students visited Black Canvas to explore a professional design studio and learn about industry practices. The experience offered valuable exposure to real-world creative workflows and inspired their artistic development.

The “Interior Design & Fashion Design Graduation Showcase” featured final-year student projects from both disciplines. The event celebrated creativity, skills, and achievements through a variety of innovative design works.
